You may also elect private pay, which means no information will be sent to your insurance. Some clients choose to pay privately for therapy services if they do not want a mental health diagnosis or attendance of therapy in their medical record. Clients may also prefer to not have services restricted by their insurance, for example if some plans cover a specific number of sessions each year.

Fees
Please contact me to inquire about rates for individual and couple therapy, supervision, and outreach.
I accept payments (co-pays, private pay) in the form of check, cash (exact change), or credit card. Payment occurs at the time of service. You are welcome to use your Health Savings Account (HSA) for payment.
Under the law, health care providers need to give clients who do not have insurance, or are not using insurance for therapy services, an estimate of the bill for therapy services. Specifically, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your therapy services will cost. This will be both discussed with you and documented for you. More information is available via www.cms.gov/nosurprises/consumers.

New Clients
As a new client, I will send you a detailed, HIPAA-secure email with your intake packet, which includes a note about what to prepare and expect for your initial appointment. Please complete your intake packet *prior* to your scheduled intake. If you are coming for couple therapy, each partner will need to complete a separate intake packet.
I use a HIPAA compliant, video-conferencing portal, Doxy.me, for telepsychology sessions. This is free for clients to download. Checking in to your virtual session is easy - I will send you a link to my "virtual waiting room," you will enter your name, and I will start your session at the time of your appointment.

Cancellations and No-Shows
If you need to cancel your appointment, kindly provide me with at least 24 hours’ notice of your scheduled appointment to avoid a charge. Insurance does not cover cancelled or missed appointments.
